Diesel Is Over $5 a Gallon. Our Rental Prices Haven't Moved.

If you run equipment for a living, I don't need to tell you what's been happening at the pump. A year ago, diesel in Texas was sitting around $3.20 a gallon. This spring it blew past $5, and it's still there. That's a 60% jump in twelve months.

I feel it the same way you do. Every machine in our yard runs on diesel. Every delivery we make to a job site in Conroe or Tomball burns diesel. When my brother fuels up the truck to drop off a skid steer, that fill-up costs a hundred dollars more than it did last year. It adds up fast, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't sting.

Everybody in this industry is dealing with the same math, and I understand why a lot of rental companies have raised their rates. Fuel surcharges, delivery fees that doubled, daily rates creeping up every quarter. I get it. It's a business decision, and I don't judge anyone for making it.

But we decided to go a different way. Our rental prices are the same today as they were before diesel went crazy.

Here's my thinking. Most of our customers are contractors, landscapers, and homeowners working on a budget that was set months ago. Your bids didn't get a fuel adjustment. Your clients aren't paying you extra because the market got tough. If I pass my fuel costs on to you, I'm just moving my problem onto your table, and you've already got enough on it.

This isn't charity. It's a bet. I'm betting that if we hold the line when times are tight, you'll remember who had your back when things loosen up. We're a small family operation out of Spring. We don't have shareholders asking for margin. We have neighbors asking for a fair deal, and that's something we can actually deliver.

So here it is, plain and simple: same rates, same fast pickup, same 24/7 phone line, in English or in Spanish. If diesel ever comes back down to earth, great. Until then, our prices are staying right where they are.
